Phase 4: Medical Screen & Commission Hearing

Medical Screening: Candidates who successfully pass the interview and background investigation receive conditional offers of employment. They then undergo a series of screenings, including psychological, medical, and drug screenings, to ensure they are physically and mentally fit for the job.

Police Commission Hearing: Approved candidates are presented before the Police Commission for final review and approval. The Commission assesses whether candidates have completed all required processes and meet the statutory requirements outlined in the Montana Code Annotated.
